Hi there! Welcome to my creative space.

I’m Virpi Ollitervo, a marketing professional who thrives where creativity, visual thinking and data come together.

01 Overwhelmed

Poster Design · Adobe Photoshop
A cultural poster concept exploring stress through a melancholic and surreal visual language. The familiar setting of an everyday commute is disrupted by unexpected floral elements, creating tension between routine and emotional overload. A heavy cool-toned colour palette reinforces the reflective mood, while bold typography gives the message an immediate focal point. Aimed at an audience drawn to contemporary culture and visual experimentation, the poster uses contrast, atmosphere and visual hierarchy to capture attention and invite interpretation.

02 Read Your Culture

Editorial Design · Adobe InDesign & Photoshop
An experimental editorial concept exploring how images and ideas gain meaning through context, composition and interpretation. The design uses asymmetrical layouts, layered elements and contrasting typography to create a sense of movement and discovery across the pages. Aimed at young adults interested in contemporary art and culture, the limited blue, black and white palette gives the publication a distinctive visual identity, while the shifting page structures encourage the reader to slow down and engage with the content. The project demonstrates how editorial rhythm and visual hierarchy can shape both attention and the reading experience.

03 Urban Hydration

Packaging Design · Adobe Illustrator
A packaging concept for a drink bottle, created with a more unexpected and visually bold approach rather than relying on traditional water-themed cues. The black-and-white illustration style gives the packaging a strong, graphic identity, while the playful character and urban-inspired elements create a distinctive and memorable look. Designed with a younger audience in mind, the concept shows how packaging can stand out through personality, contrast and illustration. The project reflects my interest in how visual identity and packaging design can influence attention and shape product perception.

04 Helsinki Goes Bauhaus

Postcard Design · Adobe Illustrator
A Helsinki-themed postcard inspired by the geometric forms and visual principles of the Bauhaus movement. The illustration reduces familiar elements of the city into simple shapes, strong lines and a limited palette of blue, yellow, black and cream. The bold composition creates a modern interpretation of Helsinki while maintaining the clarity and functionality associated with Bauhaus design. Created with visitors and design-conscious travellers in mind, the postcard presents the city as distinctive, contemporary and visually memorable.

05 Wavy Beans

Brand & Packaging Design · Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
A coffee packaging concept built around a bold and playful brand identity. The visual direction was designed to position Wavy Beans as an energetic, contemporary alternative to traditional coffee packaging and to appeal to young, design-conscious consumers. A distinctive colour system helps the products stand out on the shelf, builds recognition across the range and differentiates each variety while keeping the brand consistent. Warm shades of red, orange and pink create energy and confidence, while contrasting blue adds freshness and balance. The concept demonstrates how colour, consistency and packaging personality can shape brand perception and strengthen product appeal.
